InMotion's email service is one of the best, with up to 200 spam free accounts with many email features available. An exceptional email package however is not enough and InMotion has stepped up to the plate offering 6000 GB of bandwidth, the choice of 3 shopping carts and support for multiple subdomains making it worthy of it's spot in our rankings.
InMotion Hosting supports PHP, Perl, C, C++, Javascript, SSI, FrontPage, and a CGI directory, but does not support ASP. The MySQL database is supported as a standard feature. Also included are CGI tools that can help you compose business correspondence. InMotion provides a bulletin board, password protected directories and a guestbook with all of their packages.
Reliability
Inmotion's tier 1 data center is located in Los Angeles, California. They have several redundant OC-48 connections all tied together with BGP4 routing technology. They use Dell PowerEdge servers, each with 2-4GB of RAM. They run nightly backups. All servers have redundant power with deisel generator backups.
Control Panel
Inmotion uses cPanel, perhaps the most popular web hosting control panel around today. cPanel provides access to support, e-mail & FTP account management, usage statistic information, database creation and management, server configuration settings, amongst others.
Customer Support
Inmotion does not offer 24/7 phone support. Their tech support lines are open Monday - Friday 8 AM - 10 PM (EST), Saturday 10 AM - 7 PM (EST), and Sunday 10 AM - 6 PM (EST). While this may be acceptable for most people, sometimes immediate support and answers are neccessary. They do, however, offer 24/7 email support, a support forum, and an online knowlegebase and tutorials.
